KIDS TAEKWONDO

EXCEED's kid’s classes are age and belt specific, as to ensure each student is getting the best possible teaching needed. Ensuring all student can learn at their own pace, while at the same time being nudged to put forth their best efforts from those a bit higher in rank and age, as well as those a bit lower in rank and age.

EXCEED's Mighty Mites classes (ages 4-7) focuses on improving children’s basic motor and listening skills, to enhances positive development in a fun and motivating way. The Mighty Mites class will also prepare your child for our Kids classes (ages 8-15) where your child will experience positive social interactions working with others. They will also learn Taekwondo Martial Arts techniques in a fun environment!

Listed below are just a few of the many benefits the Martial Arts offer your child.

SOCIALIZATION SKILLS

Many children struggle with social skills at this developing age. Whether it’s the child that shares everything, has trouble keeping hands to himself, or the shy girl who wishes to sit in a corner, everyone benefits from being involved in a martial arts class. At EXCEED Martial Arts children will learn to work together to accomplish a common goal. Partner drills and sparring teach students to communicate and observe others.

CONFIDENCE

“The Joy of Being One's Self”

We are all different and Martial Arts teaches each child to be the best them, no one else.  As each child learns and meets each new goal, parents will see confidence growing. Those that have lower self esteem will see a boost as they progress in the program.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Students who enroll in martial arts learn how to communicate with the world around them. As your child gains the confidence to answer up, you will notice an increase in overall communication.

LEARNING FAIL

Part of the instant gratification problem is that it has created a generation that is afraid to fail. Allowing children to fail in a safe environment helps children understand that failure is not an end, but the beginning of getting better

RESPECT

At EXCEED Martial Arts we teach that Respect is not what you know, but it’s what you do. Students are taught from the first class to stand straight, to answer with manners (yes sir or ma'am) and to respect those around them.

“To Obey What is Right”

Technology has created a culture of instant gratification. At EXCEED Martial Arts students will learn to discipline themselves by learning delayed gratification through belt testing. Belt ranks are not given, they are earned through hard work and self-discipline.

SELF

DISCIPLINE

TEAMWORK

There are very few things that are done completely on your own at EXCEED Martial Arts, sparring, board breaking, self-defense and more, must all be done with a partner or in teams. At tournaments, our competition team works to support each other before, during, and after competition.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Childhood obesity is the #1 children’s health problem in America right now. Many children may have the desire to eat right and exercise but either don’t know how or don’t have the resources. EXCEED Martial Arts provides a structured physical activity that he or she will enjoy and wish to continue to be a part of.

SELF-CONTROL

The hardest technique in all of martial arts is to stand still and control themselves. As a child gains physical control, they will learn control over their mind as well.  Numerous studies have shown that the structured traditional environment of Martial Arts benefits children in the classroom also.
